Only One Mother

Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,

Hundreds of shells on the shore together,

Hundreds of birds that go singing by,

Hundreds of birds in the sunny weather.

Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,

Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,

Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,

But only one mother the wide world over.

My Mother’s Garden

My mother kept a garden,

A garden of the heart,

She planted all the good things

That gave my life it’s start.

She turned me to the sunshine

And encouraged me to dream,

Fostering and nurturing

The seeds of self-esteem…

Her constant good example

Always taught me right from wrong-

Markers for my pathway

That will last a lifetime long.

I am my mother’s garden.

I am her legacy-

And I hope today she feels the love

reflected back from me.

Wonderful Mother

God made a wonderful mother,

A mother who never grows old;

He made her smile of the sunshine.

And He moulded her heart of pure gold;

In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,

In her cheeks fair roses you see;

God made a wonderful mother,

And He gave that dear mother to me.

A Mother’s Love

There’s no love like a mother’s,

Her heart is filled with care.

With Christ as her example,

Her Savior’s love she’ll share.

A mother’s love is endless,

Not changing for all time.

When needed by her children,

A mother’s love will shine.

God bless these special mothers,

God bless them every one.

For all their tears and heartaches,

And special work they’ve done.

When days on earth are over,

A mother’s love lives on,

Through many generations,

God’s blessings on each one.

Be thankful for our mothers,

Who love with higher love,

From power God has given,

And strength from up above.

We Had a Wonderful Mother

We had a wonderful mother,

One who never really grew old;

Her smile was made of sunshine,

And her heart was solid gold;

Her eyes were as bright as shining stars,

And in her cheeks fair roses you see.

We had a wonderful mother,

And that’s the way it will always be.

But take heed, because

She’s still keeping an eye on all of us,

So let’s make sure

She will like what she sees.

In Remembrance

You gave me life

To live as I please,

You gave me love and

Support to follow my dreams.

Your beauty lives

Forever deep in my soul,

The memory of your love

Fills my heart

And I am never alone.

My Dad

What would I give, to clasp his hand

His happy face to see

To hear his voice, and see his smile

That meant so much to me.

The rolling stream, of life rolls on

But still the vacant chair

Recalls the love, the voice, the smile

Of the one, who once sat there.

Nothing can ever take away

The love, a heart holds dear

Fond memories linger every day

Remembrance keeps him near.

Dad is Such a Special Word

Dad is such a special word,

a word that brings to mind,

a big warm smile,

a helping hand,

a way of being kind.

Devotion to the family,

a word of patience too,

‘Dad’ is such a special word,

because it stands for ‘you’.

Love and Miss you Dad.

Remember Him

Remember him with a smile today

He was not one for tears

Reflect instead on memories

Of all the happy years

Recall to mind the way he spoke

And all the things he said

His strength, his stance, the way he walked

Remember these instead

The good advice he’d give us

His eyes that shone with laughter

So much of him will never die

But live on ever after

As we loved you, so we miss you

In our memory you are near

Loved, remembered, longed for always

Bringing many a silent tear.

DAD

We’ll always remember

that special smile,

that caring heart,

that warm embrace,

you always gave us.

You being there

for Mom and us

through good and bad times,

no matter what.

We’ll always remember

you Dad because

they’ll never be another one

to replace you in our hearts,

and the love we will always

have for you.

My Dad Always

If I could write a story

it would be the greatest ever told

of a kind and loving Dad

who had a heart of gold.

I could write a million pages

and still be unable to say

just how much I love and miss him

every single day.

I will remember all he taught me

I'm hurt but won't be sad

because he will send me down the answers

and he will always be MY DAD.

‘Til We Meet Again Dad

I often find myself missing you DAD,

oh, so very much.

A deep sadness still overwhelms me

once in a while, but the joy of

the memories I hold in my heart,

gently pushes my sadness aside.

With me always are the wonderful

memories of times we spent together and

how you taught me to become the genuine,

compassionate human being I am today.

For this I Thank You Dad,

I LOVE YOU.

My Dad – Like No Other

My father is a man like no other

He gave me life, nurtured me and dressed me,

fought for me, held me, shouted at me, kissed me,

and most importantly, loved me unconditionally.

There are not enough words to describe

just how important my father was to me and

what a powerful influence he continues to be.

I LOVE YOU DAD!

In loving Memory Dad

Miss you so much!

Softly out of the shadows

there came a gentle call

You took the hand God offered you

and quietly left us all.

And although we cannot hold you

we will never let you go

because in our hearts you will live forever

because we loved you so.

For Daddy

The greatest things you gave me were not found in a store

They were the things you could never pay for.

You gave me hope, compassion and love-

Things some kids can only dream of,

you gave me courage far stronger then I ever knew

so when I had to let go of you,

and let you pass to a better place,

I some how managed to cope,

By remembering your gift of hope

I know you are now safe, watching over us all here,

And if I may, I have one last thing to do

I want you to know how special it is to me being a part of you

Because now, I know its ok to be me.

For you were the greatest man I knew-

And I'm a part of you!

Please never forget your little girl -

The fun things we did, and the great times we had.

Because I will remember it all too-

Because your my dad- and I love you dad!
